Good morning Fay;
I have heard and read a number of VFP developers state that VFP is more like C sharp than VB. I find that difficult to accept, as VFP does not use:
1. A semi colon at the end of each line.
2. Curley brackets as separators.
3. Requires an endif (end if) at the end of an if statement.
4. Use the correct case.
5. Use () and [] properly.
The list goes on.
To me VFP and VB are 4 GL languages and share many things in common – more so than either one does with C sharp. VB NET is not too different than VB.
By the way I also program in C, and find C sharp to have a greater resemblance to that language than does VFP. But that is just my observation. :)
Tom
P.S. I understand that BG is considering changing his name to VB! :)

VS Data Team blog. If anything VB.Net is being pushed more than C#; although VFP developers will probably find C# a little bit more like VFP than VB.Net. Besides, the word is that Bill likes VB.
