His premise is not internally flawed, any more than the following statement:
"I'd prefer that my child not get married until he is an adult."
Maybe his statement would have flowed better if he used "becomes" instead of "is." Of course, defining maturity regarding technology is a different problem completely.
That's my profound insight on the matter. :)
