Sorry Elyse... I didn't mean to trivialize the problem.

But I gotta say that if a flickering cursor is the main problem I do consider the users too demanding.

If you use a lot of dropdowns then I guess their next complaint will be that the pointer stays as an I-beam when it is moved over the drop-arrow from within the dropdown itself (i.e. left to right on the entry area). And at least there's a byp[ass for that.
