I have a general question about Outlook.

Here's the scenario:

1. On the menu, goto: View/Outlook Bar - Check It (Turn it On)
2. Right-Click on the "Outlook Shortcuts" bar.
3. Select "Outlook Bar Shortcut..."
4. Change "Look In" from "Outlook" to "File System"
5. Change the "Folder Name" to the folder where you want to copy your emails as files. (You can use the tree to select the folder.)
6. Now, you can drag & drop your email messages right onto the new Shortcut -- it will create the files there.

Here's the question:

My client wants the saved files to be .TXT files (instead of .MSG files!) He can go into each email, and click on "Saveas..." and select .TXT files (instead of .MSG). However, every drag/drop creates a .MSG file.

Is there any global way to specify that items dropped onto an Outlook Shortcut should be saved as .TXT files by default?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
