David,

>>To hide, behind arguments like "it might be your video card" does not convince me either. If a bug is not reproducable at the other side, it will be either ignored or there will be a discussion about the circumstances. And this all with the whole VFP community in between. Video cards are not the only factors that could lead to bugs, other installed software, other hardware, language settings, etc could well be either. It is pointless to list your whole configuration here on the thread.

>If you don't see the relevance then you really are clueless.

That is you opinion, not a statement of fact. You'd better be more carefull with your wording.

>For your convinence, here are the questions, pulled out and numbered, from my earlier post. The non numbered text are rhetorical answers.

>1) Do you comprehend that what Fabio "sees" might not be seen under every O/S or video configuration? I'll extend this one here, video configuration also includes is Themes are involved or not.

And drivers, display resolution, dual monitor setup, refresh rate, DLL versions, current default printer driver, Regional (Language) settings, default fonts, default SETtings, system performance, workstation load etc.

If the reprocode shows the problem clearly, then why bother to list all these settings: It is reproducable. You seem to forget that Fabio posts his bug on the thread where anyone can test it and can make comments: It is not that famous black hole at MS. If someone posts a bug then anyone can jump in and add their comments or observation. This THE advantage over putting your bug into a black hole. It would not surprise me that the VFPT and MS itself regards this way of reporting as a test and see how to make bugreporting more effective. How many times don't we see a bug reported on which another member adds additional comments like: "This behavious is also present in VFP8SP1, but was not present in VFP7" ? Very usefull information, sure. But does it mean we all have to test for the other combinations of OSes and versions? No that is not our job.

If fabio reports a bug that is not reproducable or not clear, then bet your *ss that there will be comments and question from other members. Then the bug will be worked out in more detail.

Fabio is at best doing his bugtesting the way he does. He has great trouble in writing english: you are blind if you cannot see this. I know from first hand experience that it takes significant amounts of time to write a decent message if english is not your native language. Fabio's time is well more spend in doing his thing rather than listen to people nagging over minor details about the content of his report.

For the rest see my other reply.
