Greg;

Try to keep up your spirits, and work actively towards finding a new position. Finding a position is a full time job.

Here is something I did when I was looking for employment:

1. Define what I was going to do to seek employment. Who to contact, etc.

2. On Sunday morning I would define what I would do that week to look for a job. Define who you will contact, when and keep good records.

I wrote a VFP program when I was looking for a job, and it helped a lot. I had a history of my employment, references and each resume I sent – to whom, which resume (I have many different ones), follow up dates and comments. Hope you get the idea.

Make a checklist of ways to get out the word that you are available. A partial list might include:

1. User groups.

2. Network – professional and personal.

3. Headhunters.

I wish you the best. If you would like send me a copy of your resume. By the way it is a good idea to have several “base resumes”, that highlight projects and emphasize skill sets specific to what the prospective employer expects. One idea is to highlight your VFP experience, web development, and both on three separate resumes.

I am interested in a position, either perminate or contract, in the Western Washington (Washington state that is). If anyone is interested to know more about me, please email and I will forward a copy of my resume.
