i use smtp with authentication for all of my clients' "email back to me" utilizing a generic email account that i've set up on a mail server.

It's NOT public, but then my clients are NOT using a pop3 or smtp email client sw package to communicate either - it's all encapsulated in VFP
to ONLY send out to my email server.

I've used it for registrations and for technical support .


you can use :
1. blat
2. winsock
3. vfp/smtp library [can't remember the author] .

I am not a fan of CDO - there are too many OS dependencies ...
