Charles,
What I have done is put a batch file in the startup directory which uses the dos COPY command with /Y option (to always overwrite). Then, when Windows loads, it will copy the latest version across. (I have one PC doing three things all the time and one of those 3 things is taking some jobs from another so the exe files are changing a lot). This seems to work fine.
