Hi, Mike. I'm sure that JVP can answer your question himself, although I think the answer could be as simple as "because I would like to hear the response." I would like to say that I think *his* question is quite legitimate. If VFP "does data better than anything," as many of us probably has quipped over the years, should we not be able to quickly and easily enumerate the ways in which this is true? Wouldn't then having such a ready list at each of our fingertips be a nice addition to our "why the h*ll are you writing this in FoxPro" comeback? My guess is that this perhaps is not as easy a list to make, at least not in 2004, as many of us perhaps would like to believe.

If that ends up being true, should we continue to use the quip? I'm just asking. Afterall, lots of (probably) intelligent people once believed that the world was flat until "some crazy mofo" came along and spent ages convincing them otherwise, right (yes, I'm a little rusty on my history as I skipped most of those classes in favor of...better pursuits <s>).
