I also think the a similar attitude to what is witnessed here has caused some of the I.T. attitude about VFP. In my last position the powers that be made the decision that an app written several years ago in VFP5 and automating Office 95 should be sufficient these days. It shouldn't be a problem for a Fortune 100 company to require that any new desktop will have the corporations standard software suite....and if they wanted to use this particular app...Office 95.

That was one app the company wrote. The other was in Foxpro DOS (and still is).

Based on that, I can point you to one place where they will throw you out on your butt when you come offering a Foxpro solution. All the apps the company I worked for are being replaced. And not being replaced by the company I worked for.
