I have a situation where VFP sometimes just "exits" when the user clicks a menu option to open a form or clicks a toolbar button to do the same thing. What I mean by "exits" is that VFP just disappears, like it was instantly shut down. No visible screen presence and, I think, nothing in the Task Manager.

Actually, I have seen this behavior in Word and Visio much more often than I have seen it in VFP. What you are describing is a C5 in stealth mode. Not too easy to track down - especially if it is an intermittant problem. You may want to look at re-defining the view that you think is corrupt.
