Hi, Walter. Yes, I'm well aware that the MS data team has members who have worked on Fox/VFP, that they incorporated some of the Fox cursor functionality into ADO, etc. Perhaps I'm merely dense, but I still do not see how that logically equates to saying that VFP "does data" (again, whatever that even means) better than the .Net framework and C#/VB.Net/ASP.Net/ADO.Net "does data." Further, once this infusion of "Fox data goodness" into dotNet has been completed, what do you think that will mean for the Visual FoxPro product?
FWIW, Windows NT was worked on, and the development was managed by, several folks who previously had worked on VMS, the operating system that ran on Digital VAX minicomputers. That was a wonderful (IMO) OS, on which I worked for several years. Using logic as I believe some here are, VMS must have been superior to (i.e., it must have "done OSin'" better than) Windows NT. Hmmm, I wonder where I can get myself a copy of VMS today? :)

>And yes, this is not an opinion, this has been confirmed from Microsoft from various persons (Ken Levy to name one).

>So why the hell would the VS.NET team work with the VFP team so closely if .NET did not have any disadvantage when doing data and are not trying to improve .NET in this aspect ???
