Hi Bill
With the Branch office / Headquarters concept you are absolutely correct.
The situation I am considering is one where each client would build and maintain his own D/B. For example, a system to manager a person (or Families) usage of vitamins and pills. Each client would have their own D/B with no need for anyone elses data. The idea is for people to subscribe to use the System which would be located on a Web-site. Then have them manage their D/B on their own workstation.
Maybe I shouldn't be looking at MySQL at all, but rather using a vfp D/B on each clients workstation. The problem with this is that I'm pretty much locked into using VFP for the application.
(Am looking at using PHP for at least part of it.)
What are your thoughts?
Bill Wright
