What are you doing differently between startign the forms from the menu vs the new buttons? Are you using private datasession forms?

>Recently, for the sake of user interface, i tried to do away with using the VFP main menu system in an existing project and set up buttons to run each form from a 'main form', or 'menu form'. all of a sudden there were all sorts of file opening/closing/not opening/not closing problems and i had to write all sorts of extra code to make sure all data files were closed when running a form from a button and then extra code in the form.exit button to make sure that everything was all closed again.
