Here is my issue I have several large tables running a telco switch. One table has 22 million records and the other tables have between 2 and 10 million records. I believe these tables were created in Fox 2.5 definatly not in the visual environment.

I am about to begin some development on a vb.net project and have to access these tables from vb.net. I was wondering if someone could shed some light on a posible architecture solution.

1. I could code a VFP Com component to get the data I need and return the data in a XML format back to VB.Net from fox. THis component would handle my updates,deletes,inserts, and selects, any interaction with Fox.

2. I use OLEDB from VB.Net to handle the data access.

I have heard of some issues when using oledb with large vfp 2 tables. Some people have complained of data correption, because we are in a mission critical system, I cannot take thd chance of data correption if this is still occuring using the vfp oledb. I was also wondering about performance, and if anyone has any experiences with tables of this size using oledb.
