Title:
Web-enabling FoxPro 2.6 applications
I need clarification on something please.
My department has an EIS (Executive Information System) written in FoxPro 2.6. This EIS consists of several executable files and several megabytes of data (the size of the data grows weekly).
We have orders to "Web-enable" this EIS. Right now it looks like the data will eventually reside on SQL-Server. And we will be using a combination of VB5 and EI4 as the browser front-end.
With this in mind, can we still use FoxPro 2.6 as the "data manager" or should we convert to Visual FoxPro 5 (or later)?
I know that I have never heard FoxPro 2.6, SQL-Server and the "Web" mentioned in the same breath.
Any comments and suggestions are truly welcome.
Thanks,
Dan Rhymes
