It was seriously considered. But there were some real technical hurdles, for example, what if all the pages were set Visible= .F.? What gets focus? And you yourself have already mentioned one of the workarounds.

Part of our focus for VFP 9 has been enhancements that weren't convenience features. What I mean is that if it's possible to workaround an issue with existing language, it didn't rank high on the list. Especially if it was opening a can of worms in that it might break existing functionality.
