John, it is clear from your message that the cause of data corruption in your DBF's are not a function of the DBF file system per se but rather of the equipment and environment in which your app is running. SQL might "handle" the environment better but ultimately a move from DBF to SQL does not address the cause of your problems, although it might alleviate some of the symptoms. Besides the software development required for the move you might also find that you need hardware upgrades as well. In which case the better hardware combined with a UPS and some user training might be a more cost effective solution.
