No REPLACE, No LOCATE, no SEEK...Just because the words 'SEEK' don't appear in the language doesn't mean you can't do the same thing.
If I define a primary key on a data table (in the same way you'd do an INDEX ON...), I can do an ADO.NET FIND() (similar to a SEEK). So it's generally the same functionality, and same # of lines of code.
