It might also help to protect the integrity of your data through the following measures, especially for the file server: a) a UPS, b) RAID, c) a stable operating system. Point (b) is perhaps not directly related to data corruption, but helps you avoid trouble nonetheless.
And, of course, you should do frequent backups.
