Docked toolbar does not work in VFP 9 runtime.
New report writer does not work in VFP 9 runtime.

So VFP applications are no more capable to run even in Windows 98.

Andrus,

Forgive me if you get this message twice, I started writing it earlier and lost it <s>.

**You are drawing a wrong conclusion here.**

I understand why you are drawing that conclusion but it is still incorrect.

We know that the beta build went out with very limited testing under runtime (whether Win98 or not) and almost none under Win 98 runtime. I believe this is listed a couple of places in the release notes, apologies if not.

As far as I know, it is not a new limitation that the IDE/full dev version is not supported under Win 98. Only runtime. Also, docking toolbars are not my dept -- I can't tell you much about that.

But I *can* tell you that the new report engine required several fixes to work under Win 98 and also under NT4 (beyond the placement of GDIPLUS, these were additional things). Although these fixes simply did not make the beta build, very diligent work is proceeding on this front, with the specific aim of making sure things work properly under VFP 9 runtime in Win 98.

Please do not draw the conclusion that, because it doesn't work in your build, that "New report writer does not work in VFP 9 runtime" and that new limitations are being introduced.

From what I hear, old-style VFP preview looked pretty terrible in Win98 apps. Some advanced testing under way right now shows that, once we have it working, new-style VFP preview is quite an improvement.
