Here's a little licensing scenario that I would like another opinion on.
Stop me if my comments are untrue, but this is my understanding of it.
Legally.... If you own a Windows XP license, you can install any Windows OS "under" XP (98, NT4.0...). If this is true, could I legally have my PC dual boot Windows 2K and Windows NT 4.0 with just my XP license? Or would I need two licenses?
And if this is true, does the same hold true for Office?
Here is why I am asking... I am running Windows 2K with Office 2K Professional, and I need to work on an Access '97 project that I cannot convert to 2K. I take it that installing both Office 2K and '97 will cause your PC to hose up. Anyway, somebody let me know what they are thinking. I was thinking of making my PC dual boot with Windows NT 4.0 and then installing Office '97 Professional on that so I can work on my Access '97 projects when I need to.
