The problem was (is?) that I was getting an error sorting with ASORT(x,9) re:data types. They are going to be all of the same type, so I couldn't figure out why this shouldn't work. It occured to me as I was reading your message why it's failing (most likely). In my test program, all of the data isn't defined yet. The numbers in column 9 are calculated values. Since all of the data isn't there yet, I' m sure the formula I'm using is doing a divide by 0 (and THAT's what ASORT is complaining about - since it's not a number like all the other ones in the list).
