I do not know if there is a specific law/rule for this subject in the US, all I do know is that those pennies are legal money, legal tender. Besides, I seriously doubt that any public or private institution/organization will refuse to cash 3.6 tons of quarters coins…
Anyway… I’m going to wherever tomorrow morning to cash over 20 rolls of pennies!
$10 is a nice amount taking into account the actual price of gasoline :) (from $1.54 to $2.10 in a few weeks – 88-90 octane)
