While I agree that the hour change is hard to get used to, I DO like having more daylight at the end of the day and less before I get up in the morning. As Jim says, it was started during WWII, but continued afterwards 'by popular demand' because people liked having sunlight after work.

Sounds like 'popular demand' did NOT consult UT members :-)
