It is not clear to me if your problem is that, you do not know how to use the timer control. If it is so, you need to specify a value on the INTERVAL property depending on how many milliseconds you want the TIMER EVENT (method) to be fired everytime it elapse. Where: 1000 milliseconds is equivalent to 1 second.

So if I put 2000 on the INTERVAL property, the TIMER EVENT will be fired every 2 seconds. In this sense, you have the choice what you want the apps to do everytime the INTERVAL property value has elapsed.
