I see that you were 'disappointed' that HoustonB didn't comment on your statement immdeiately below. Maybe I can make up for that...

So I take it that Einstein was commenting on energy and light speed and many other factors that do not exist!

So I take it that keeping up with the literature in the field - specifically to help one make up one's mind as to when to jump in - makes for ill-informed comments!

That you've succeeded (I guess) at writing a .NET application qualifies YOU as THE person who can speak authoritatively. That's cool, but not the kind of credential that offers much, given your other comments and awkward logic here to date.

Why is it so important to you to "fix" the reputation of .NET here, in a VFP forum? I guess you now have so much spare time because .NET apps. are so so easy that you want to convert the rest of the world?

>>And what of the opinions of potential presidents before they have had 'practical experience' of holding that office? I guess we should all dismiss string theory... the whole subject of philosophy... I imagine people like Aristotle, Archimedes, Newton, Einstein, et alia, had lots of opinions before the practical experience materialized.
