John,

>>Please don't imagine that everything I say is aimed at you.

Well, ok, but when a post is addressed to me I guess I assume that it's also aimed at me. Maybe my skin isn't as thick as I would hope. <s>

>I did say you scolded because it seemed to me that you found fault and issued remedial instruction in public.

OK, my bad ... my post obviously wasn't taken in the spirit intended. Sorry. =(

>All I can say is that is was your post that initiated a round of sickening smugness and taunting because somebody made a trivial mistake (gasp!) in an example.

I doubt if my post initiated much of anything ... the arguing was going on long before I stuck my big nose into the fray.

I observed that they made an error of far greater significance than Walter's and asked whether they deserve the "clever stick" and the piling on and all the rest. I did say you scolded because it seemed to me that you found fault and issued remedial instruction in public.

All I can say is that is was your post that initiated a round of sickening smugness and taunting because somebody made a trivial mistake (gasp!) in an example. Could it be that supporting dotNET makes one so superior that mistakes are a thing of the past and one can afford to scoff and taunt at anybody who makes a mistake- ignoramus, LOL, deaf ears, clever stick and the rest of it.
