I have a Dell Latitude C800 with a 20GB HD. I always (save for very short periods otherwise) use it plugged into the wall.

I want to upgrade the HD to a 7200 rpm unit. I have no problem with the 20GB capacity but would take more if available.

I see a couple of 7200 rpm HDs are available, from Hitachi (formerly IBM) and someone else.

However, I'm not at all sure how to confirm that my system can take one of these drives (and, of course, use it to spec).

Does anyone know of a site that might have such information?
