add a property to the form of
lastListBoxSelected

and make it a character thingie - holding the NAME of the listbox.
then ? whenever you or the codebase traverses through ANY listbox - you check the name to see if it is the one you are on - and IF IT IS ?


make the background/fill purple.


and if its NOT ? make it some other color [your choice in the color pattern]
