Well, it's clearly due to that special build process you're using, Torgny. I didn't run it, I just did a search for relevant utilities when you described what you were doing, and made an educated guess.

When I look at the code it seems okay, but clearly there is something wrong with it. Can you tell me more about how you're using it?

Can you also tell me whether you have this problem no matter which version of VFP you build under?

If we can come up with steps to repro, you will want to post a bug, even if it is just a request for a revision of that MSDN article.

I don't have time to run the code this morning and if I did I might not see the exact scenario that you do, so I'd appreciate it if you take a crack at narrowing down the issue first, but I will check this with you later.
