I am currently in discussion with someone from Adobe on this. Right now our company is reviewing all license agreements to ensure we are abiding by them all. Someone read that paragraph and thought it described what we are doing and asked to check it out. The problem is that very few at Adobe even seem to understand the difference. I guess I will have to locate a good reliable source for definitions for IAC and ANAL....

>I don't see why such use would be illegal : a) you don't create any plug-in's, b) you don't use IAC, but ANAL.

>>I did that successfully in testing just now but I just discovered that it may not legal. The Adobe 6 End-User license agreement states:
>>
>>You are not authorized to integrate or use the Software with any (a) plug-in software not developed in accordance with the Adobe Integration Key License Agreement or (b) other software or enhancement that uses Inter Application Communication (IAC) to programmatically interface with the Software for the purpose of (i) creating a file that contains data (e.g., an XML or comments file), (ii) saving modifications to a PDF file or (iii) rendering a PDF file in such other software's application window.
