Yes. No it’s not a bug. But leaving wasted space at the foot of most pages is not the correct / expected behaviour. The way the report actually prints is fine. It’s just towards the bottom of the page that the problem occurs. (If one had and endless page one hundred feet long, the report would print perfectly.)

It’s to do with the logic that the Report Writer uses in deciding how much space there is remaining at the foot of the page/column, and whether or not it can fit another record or picture there, or if it should rather start printing on a new page/column.

The Report Writer INCORRECTLY assumes that every record will have a picture.


The Report writer should evaluate if there will be a picture or not. If not, the picture template height should be deducted from the height required for that next record, when the RW decides if there is enough space left at the bottom of the page before printing.
