Does anyone know what could cause the statusbar clock and the computer's system clock to be 32 minutes out of sync with each other?

I have a user where the statusbar clock said 15:37:34 when the computer's system clock said 4:09 PM. The correct time was 4:09 PM.

At the time this happened the system was not abnormally busy. Everything else appeared to be fine. The user had been using the system all day and first reported the different times around 2:30 PM.
