Perhaps...then again, Whidbey is in beta and we already know about the next version - which has a code name. MS DOES comment on future software. It does so when it chooses to...

Also, if memory serves, VFP 8 was quickly announced - and committed to when 7 was still in beta. If I am wrong on this, I am sure somebody will point it out.
