If his point is that instead of making use of a feature to call into .NET that you should in every case instead write (or rewrite) the entire app in .NET, then yes -- it's absurd.

That was never my point. When someone indicated that it would be good to have all the framework readily accessible, I stated that it would be better to use .NET.
