Thanks for clearing that up. Just out of interest is this a shim to host the CLR (through CorBindToRuntimeEx) and bind it to the VFP process in a similiar fashion to ASP.NET and Yukon?

I think being able to take advantage of the CLR execution engine features, not necessarily a specific framework class in isolation but CAS, threads management etc.

I think the most obvious benefit that others are missing would be future developements in the .NET world or WinFX ie:-

Search API
Natural Language (Lexical analysis and management!)
Microsoft Business Framework
