So, you don't think of yourself as cynical? Instead, you perhaps even think you did a good deed today because you warned me for the pitfalls? If that's so, why then did you initially only say 'Yep.. the world will beat a path to it.....'? No, I think you are/were merely cynical.

>Because I have tons of experience with it, an installed user base and a number of huge apps in production. I like VFP and am very comfortable developing in it. But that doesn't change the fact that others before you have taken up the Don Quijote crusade and made zero difference. You'd be better off sticking to program development and showing potential clients what you can do, rather than point them to a website.

>>Well John, that is a very very cynical point of view. It makes one wonder why you still stick to VFP.
>>
>>>Maybe, but i doubt it. It will be seen as the site for a dying language trying to appear main stream and acceptable.

>>>>>You will be wasting time and effort for naught, but knock yourself out. These schemes have been proposed and tried and failed for years now and VFP's image is still declining. I love the hubris that people think they can make a difference. Maybe if you had millions of dollars to promote the site and win over the doubters and naysayers, you could make a difference. But a on-the-shoe-string vfp site will have NO impact on the real world perception of VFP.

>>>>On a large scale, I would say you are probably right. But it could be of help to individual developers, or developing companies, who could use such a site as an independent reference to the question: "what good is VFP, anyway?".
