>I think you agreed with my assessment. I also prefer the MS ODBC driver. However, I do have to use the Oracle ODBC driver when calling an Oracle Stored Proc from VFP. I have not found a way to successfully do this with the MS driver. There is no problem using different drivers within the same app. I also do not use DSNs in my connections. I use a connection string instead.

Thanks for your thoughts in this matter. I apreciated the help.

One more thing, Could you recommend a good book that will be able to teach me how to Write & call Stored procs & packages. I'm having a tough time trying to read my wife's SQL Server code and translate it to Oracle.
