>What I'm seeing is that the mouse wheel does work. There are two conditions that must be met from what I've seen. First, the combo must have the focus. Second, the mouse must be over the combo.

Yes, that is what I see.

>This, sort of, makes sense both from a UI perspective and how windows works. First, you wouldn't want the value to change in case someone accidentally moved the wheel while moving to another control. Second, it fits in with the Windows messaging process.

I agree that this should be the behavior when you are not over the control, very good point. It's a shame that IE does not do this.

I did expect the list to scroll up and down when you move the mouse over the combo's popup list the same as if you were over the combo. That is the behavior you see in both IE and Mozilla so I guess thats what I expected in VFP.

>The nice thing about it is that when you go past the last item in the list, it displays the first and vice versa.

Yeah, thats pretty cool. Of course none of the browsers behave that way.

>Yeah, I really love Powerbuilder...about as much as I like having a root canal or surgery without an anethestic. The verion in old (6.5) and the IDE is perhaps the worst I've ever encountered.

rofl, thats pretty tough especially after using VFP. I see after scanning through a few posts here that there are still a lot of VFP nay-sayer threads. It's a shame cause VFP-9 IMO Rocks! Bottom line for me is that I'm going to use the best tool for the job.
