Jim,

A regular new desktop with XP with normal serial port (in fact we had the problem on 2 computers, both no brandname, locally assembled).
We tested on several other computers, Win Xp, Win 98, Dell laptops all no problem.

>>Hello all,
>>
>>We use the MSCOMM32.OCX activeX control to read data from a serial port. We tested it at Baudrate 1200 on one Win 98 and two XP machines and all work fine. now we try this computer (Win XP) to install the program and suddenly with all same settings the data that comes in is garbled. We check the settings of the hardware, and the version of the OCX file but all are the same. Does anybody know what this can be?
