This may have been mentioned previously, try packing all files as VFP7 had an index bloat problem which was apparently fixed in VFP8, make sure SP1 is installed also.

>After moving to VFP8 from VFP7, certain areas of my application seemed to have slowed down considerably. I think I've pinpointed it to the opening and closing of tables. Does it make sense that simply opening a table with the USE comand is slower in VFP8?
