I have encountered this type of problem, and it occurs only in a multi-user environment which the network is most likely cause the error. It appears when printing a report or clicking to a command button on a form. I isolate this problem, by running the program accessing its data & printer on a single machine and the problem doesn't occur.

Check network bandwidt if congested or not, unstable network connection/cable and even personal firewalls installed on where the app is being run...
