>Not sure if this is a better suggestion, but for this situation, I created a composite class I call cmpSelDirFile. It has a textbox in which the user can enter the path, plus a button with binoculars that will use GetFile to search for a file or directory. It doesn't check that the path is valid, but you can just add RETURN DIRECTORY('This.Value') to the Valid of the textbox. You can download the class from http://www.peisch.com/downloads.html
