The primary beefs I have heard was that it cannot be done. I for one cannot say if I have ever seen a desktop app that I knew to be Java. In this case, a nice job was done - which is more of a reflection on the developers. The point being is that Java could adaquately support the developer. Could VFP have been used? Sure. Would it have been good choice? Sure. The point? There are other altneratives out there - that work - and work well. The basic point being that it should be be a mystery why VFP does not get selected - more often than not - as the tool of choice for projects like this.
