>>I am fairly new to this whole web thing, but am working on writing a "Virtual Store" and one of my concerns is allowing a user to log in and tracking their movement throughout the site. It seems that Cookies are the way to do this, but I am afraid my knowledge of cookies is *VERY* limited (other than that my wife makes the best). What is a good resource for finding more information about using cookies, creating them, reading them, etc...

My plan was to keep track of a users ordered items, etc. in a database on the back-end, but my question is how to keep track of who the user is as they move from page to page once they are logged into the site. What are your recommendations?

Also, so far I have been using VPFCGI.EXE for the connector, but have been told that that isn't a very good idea. What would you recommend, and why?

TIA
