I read the Trib everyday online and have never seen this.
UPDATE: I just went to the Trib site and it is trying to install. It did not do this earlier today. I will call the Trib to get this resolved.
UPDATE 2: I called the Trib. It is being generated by one of their advertisers and is against Tribune policy. They got complaints a few days ago and the advertiser had assured them it was gone. They will call them again and let them know.
FYI: I clicked Cancel on the popup and the news page loaded fine.
>I was about to read the article about text spam on cell phones linked from the front page. The Salt Lake Tribune put up a Verisign dialog box which wanted to install adware from WhenU. When I said no, it left the page blank. It's pretty disgusting that a (sort of) big city newspaper website would do something like this. I think that the link to this story should be removed.
