I did a bit of investigating and added the VFP Grid baseclass to another page of the users form and experienced the same thing...the backcolor I set at design time did not appear at runtime.

However, if you set the backcolor property in the Header's Init() method, it works fine. Try this:

This.Backcolor = 255
