I don't know. Might there be. One simple test was the one that Kevin started himself. Within those tests .NET was extremely slower than VFP (as I remember the timings VFP completed around 8-11 secs and best .NET counterpart was 18 secs).
My point is that VFP is faster in data processing, but just data processing is not something I'd stick with a language. Apart from slower data processing + windows forms I find .NET is not even comparable with VFP. If I were to start coding today I'd choose .NET I think. I've VFP base and I code in that and spare time to learn and code in .NET too.
