Hi,

The change in the magnetic field around the earth over the last 150 years would appear to be independent of any shifting of the earth's crust. The orientation of the earth's crust in relation to the sun is well established and determines how much day and night time is in each day. If there were even a slight gradual slip in the earth crust over 150 years, it would have changed the day and night time periods in days around the world, unless; the earth crust slip exactly along the line that is the equator.

The effect of a magnetic field change might eventually cause the crust of the earth to roll on the molten lava that forms the center of the earth, though. It seem it would be necessary to have an out of balanced earth crust or some other catalyst to initiate the event, maybe like the north pole building up a huge ice mass relative to the rest of the earth's crust.

Regards,
